Terms of carriage
The terms on which MNA COURIERS LIMITED quotes for, accepts and performs courier work, and on which this website is provided.
Notice: [TO CONFIRM] These terms are a working framework prepared for the launch of this website. They require review by a qualified legal adviser — including the marked items — before being relied upon in trade. Cancellation windows, waiting-time rates and late-payment provisions must be completed before launch.
1. Definitions and parties
“MNA”, “we” and “us” mean MNA COURIERS LIMITED, company number 16532799, registered office 65 Hemmons Road, Manchester, England, M12 5ST. “You” means the person or business instructing us. “Consignment” means the goods described in your brief and accepted for carriage.
2. Enquiries, quotes and bookings
Submitting an enquiry through this website or by email sends an enquiry for review. It does not confirm a price, vehicle availability, collection time or acceptance of a booking. A quote we issue is an offer, open for acceptance for the period stated on it. A booking exists only when you accept a quote and we acknowledge that acceptance in writing. Each job carries an MNA reference; correspondence quoting that reference forms part of the job record.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the brief: description, dimensions, weight, value where relevant, and access conditions at both ends. You confirm that you are entitled to have the consignment carried, that it is lawful to possess and transport within the UK, and that it is packaged adequately for road carriage unless you have asked us to arrange packaging. Additional costs genuinely caused by material inaccuracies in the brief may be charged at the rates agreed at booking.
4. Prohibited and restricted goods
We do not carry goods that are unlawful to possess or transport. Certain categories — including hazardous materials, livestock, and items requiring regulatory licences — are carried only where expressly agreed in writing in advance. [TO CONFIRM] — the definitive prohibited and restricted list is to be finalised with insurers and published here.
5. Carriage and delivery
We will carry the consignment with reasonable skill and care by the method described in the booking. Timings stated on a booking are given in good faith; where a timing is expressed as a commitment it will say so on the booking itself. Delivery is complete when the consignment is handed to the recipient, the named contact where one is specified, or otherwise dealt with according to your written standing instruction.
6. Liability and insurance
We are responsible for loss of or damage to the consignment caused by our negligence between collection and delivery, subject to the cover position and any limits stated on your quote. Standard goods-in-transit cover is £25,000 per consignment and public liability cover is £2,000,000; consignments exceeding £25,000 in value must be declared and additional cover agreed in writing before carriage. We are not liable for loss arising from inadequate or concealed packaging, misdeclaration, inherent vice of the goods, or events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Cancellations and waiting time
Cancellation after a booking is confirmed may incur a charge reflecting work already committed, and waiting time beyond the allowance agreed at booking may be charged at the rate agreed at booking. [TO CONFIRM] — standard cancellation windows and waiting-time rates to be inserted.
8. Payment
Non-account customers pay as agreed on the booking. Account customers pay against a monthly consolidated invoice on 30-day terms, as stated in their account opening letter. [TO CONFIRM] — late-payment provisions to be inserted at legal review.
9. Complaints
Complaints follow the written procedure on our standards page, and nothing in that procedure limits your statutory rights.
10. This website
Content on mnacouriers.co.uk is provided for general information. Details marked [TO CONFIRM] are explicitly not yet confirmed and do not form part of any offer. We may update the site at any time; the terms applying to a job are those in force when the booking is confirmed.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
