What it is
A removal is a courier job where every item matters to the customer — which is exactly how we treat it. Your belongings are loaded onto one vehicle, by people who stack a van for a living, and driven directly to the new address. Nothing sits in a depot overnight; nothing is transferred between vehicles; the person who saw your things leave is the person who carries them in.
Van-based moves suit most flats, smaller houses and part-moves — the moves where a traditional removals firm with a lorry and a three-week lead time is more than you need, but doing it yourself with a hired van and two weekends is more than you can face. We bring the vehicle, the straps, the blankets and the method; you decide how much of the packing and carrying you want to keep.
Method matters more than muscle. Furniture is wrapped and loaded against the bulkhead, boxes stack by weight, mattresses ride flat or bagged upright, and the awkward things — plants, mirrors, the television — are loaded last and first out. At the new address, boxes go to the rooms written on them, not to a pile in the hallway.
Distance changes the price, not the care. A move from Levenshulme to Chorlton and a move from Manchester to Brighton are the same service with a longer middle.
02
Who it suits
Private customers
Renters moving between flats. First-time buyers with a house's worth of boxes and a completion date. Downsizers moving the keepers and letting the rest go. Anyone whose move fits in a van or two and who wants it done in a day, not a week.
Business use
Landlords and agents moving furniture between properties. Relocation support for staff moving to or from the North West. Small office moves — desks, chairs, files and the server that must travel in sight — handled outside working hours where needed.

What we need from you
Removal quotes go wrong when the load is guessed. Walk through your home with this list and the price we give is the price you pay.
- Both postcodes — and floor level plus lift or stairs at each end
- Room count, plus a list of large items — beds, sofas, wardrobes, appliances
- Estimated box count — and whether packing is finished or in progress
- Parking at both ends — driveway, permit street, red route, distance to door
- Moving date — and whether it is fixed by completion or flexible
04
How it works
-
Describe the move
Send the detailed brief with both addresses, the large-item list and your date. We reply with a fixed price and a plan for the day.
-
Confirm the day
Arrival window, crew, and who handles what — agreed in writing before moving day so there are no doorstep negotiations.
-
Load and travel
Furniture wrapped, load stacked and strapped, and the van away. On long moves we tell you when the vehicle is approaching the new address.
-
Unload by room
Boxes to their labelled rooms, furniture where you point, and a final check of the van together before we leave you to the kettle.

Removals questions
Can you move me on a completion day I don't control?
Yes — property completions are the most common fixed date we work to. Tell us the situation when you enquire; we can plan a morning load so the van is ready to roll the moment keys are released.
Do you help carry, or is it driver-only?
Both models exist. Some customers want muscle, some only want the driving done. Say which you need and the quote is built around it — including a second pair of hands where stairs or heavy furniture demand one.
Do you supply boxes and packing materials?
Packing materials can be arranged with notice — ask when you enquire. What we always bring is the load-securing kit: blankets, straps and the experience to use them.
What about parking outside the properties?
Tell us what the street is like and we plan for it — permits, timed loading bays, or a longer carry where the van cannot reach the door. Surprise parking problems are the single biggest cause of moving-day stress; five minutes of description prevents them.
Can you do a small move — just one room, or a few pieces?
Yes, and there is a page for exactly that: student & single-item moves. Same care, smaller vehicle, smaller price.
Are my belongings covered in transit?
Yes — goods-in-transit cover of £25,000 applies as standard and is restated on your quote. The standards page explains how it works; tell us about individual items of unusual value so cover can be arranged properly.
