What it is
Manchester is a student city, and every September and June the same scene repeats: a life packed into boxes and bags, a car that cannot take half of it, and a train journey that definitely cannot. This service exists for that scale of move — more than luggage, less than a household — whether the person moving is a fresher, a graduate starting work, or anyone relocating light.
The model is deliberately simple. One vehicle collects everything in a single visit, drives directly, and delivers to the door of the new place — up to the room where access allows. Because the load is small the price stays small, but the handling is the same as any other job: boxes stacked properly, the guitar on top, nothing loose to slide around the van for two hundred miles.
We know the practical wrinkles of student accommodation: halls with check-in slots and luggage trolleys, house shares where the room is up two flights, deposits that depend on leaving on the right day. Tell us which applies and the plan absorbs it.
Parents: this also works in reverse and at a distance. You can book from home, we collect from the student, and both ends get told when the van is where.

Who it suits
Private use
Students moving between halls, houses and home at term boundaries. Graduates taking one careful vanload to a first job in another city. Anyone moving out of a furnished flat with belongings that fit in a corner of a van — and a budget that appreciates being charged for exactly that.
Business use
Universities and accommodation providers needing left belongings forwarded to their owners. Employers relocating a new starter's essentials. Letting agents clearing a single room between tenancies. Small, defined, one-trip jobs — priced like it.

What we need from you
- Both postcodes — halls names help, they are easier to find than doors
- Box and bag count, plus anything that is not a box — bike, TV, mini-fridge
- Floor and access at both ends — lift, stairs, check-in desk rules
- The date — and the hard deadline if a tenancy or hall checkout sets one
- Who is at each end — you at both, or a handover to family or a friend
04
How it works
-
Count the boxes
Rough numbers into the quick enquiry — a phone photo of the packed pile is honestly the best description there is.
-
Fix the day
We confirm price and arrival window. Term-end weeks book out fastest — the earlier you ask, the better the slot.
-
One-trip load
Everything on in one visit, stacked to survive the motorway, and the van away. You or your family get the departure message.
-
Delivered to the door
Unloaded at the new address — to the room where access allows — and confirmed with your MNA reference.

Small move questions
How much does a student move cost?
It is priced per job from distance and load size, and because the load is small the price is at the friendly end of everything we do. Send the box count and both postcodes and you will have a figure to compare against a hire van and a lost Saturday.
Can my parents book and pay from another city?
Yes — whoever books is our contact, and we keep both ends informed. Parents booking for students (and occasionally the reverse) is completely normal.
I don't have proper boxes. Does it matter?
Bags and loose items survive short moves; for long ones, boxes protect better and stack tighter. If your budget stretches to a pack of double-walled boxes, buy them — if not, tell us what you have and we will load it as well as it can be loaded.
Can you collect when I've already left the city?
Yes. If your things are with a friend, a landlord or a hall's storage, we collect from whoever holds them — give us the contact's name and number and we arrange it directly.
Do you do this outside term dates?
All year. The service is really “small moves, one trip” — students named it, but anyone moving light books it.
