Accessibility statement
What this website does to be usable by everyone, where it may fall short, and how to tell us when it does.

Our aim
mnacouriers.co.uk is built to be usable with a keyboard alone, with screen readers, at high zoom levels, and by people who prefer reduced motion. The target standard is WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What is built in
- Semantic HTML landmarks, one main heading per page, and a skip-to-content link on every page
- Full keyboard operability: the services menu opens, navigates and closes (Escape) without a mouse, and the mobile menu traps and returns focus correctly
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Text and background colours chosen for WCAG AA contrast, including a darkened amber for text on light backgrounds
- All animation and movement disabled when your system asks for reduced motion
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images
- Form fields with visible labels, error messages announced to assistive technology, and forms that work without JavaScript
- Responsive layout usable from 360px-wide screens upwards, with no horizontal scrolling of the page body
Known limitations
- The map on the contact page is an embedded Google Map; the same address information is provided as text beside it.
- Some photography is decorative of the trade rather than essential; where an image carries no information beyond its description, the alt text says what it shows.
